I’ve always been interested in learning new things and solving problems. I think I decided I wanted to go into physics when I was about 13

I’ve like science ever since I looked through a telescope at all the stars, planets and galaxies in the night sky as a kid. But I didn’t always know it’d be my favourite!
I realised I wanted to be a physicist in year 10 when we started doing physics separately to chemistry and biology. I had an inspiring physics teacher for GCSE.
In the first few years of secondary school I though I wanted to work in sport (including being a professional basketball player!).
Before that I really didn’t know what I wanted as a career, but probably enjoyed maths the most in school.
