      Fun but often hard work, I’d say. I do really like learning things every day, and that pretty much is true… well, let’s say at least once a week otherwise I get grumpy and it probably means there have been too many meetings! And there’s a lot of fun: travel, chat, working with students that keeps me young in certain ways… but also I sometimes wish I could switch off. The great thing is that I get to work on anything that interests me; the problem is that everything interests me, and try as I might, I can’t do it all!

      I think it’s really fun! I definitely learn new things every day but that’s basically my job as a PhD student. I hope it stays that way as I go further in my career.

      I have so much fun being a scientist! I do learn new things every day. Maybe that’s because I’m a newbie scientist 😉 Sometimes these are useful skills like how to design a poster and sometimes these are pieces of physics knowledge like how to measure the properties of a particular particle. The fun that can be had by learning new things every day makes being a scientist so rewarding…
