Question: dear Meririn, I was wondering if you believe in the big bang, if so why and how can you prove that it is real.

Great question! The strongest piece of evidence for the Big Bang is the existence of a light with a temperature of -270 degrees Celsius everywhere in the universe. This was predicted by the Big Bang Theory and seen to perfectly match the prediction during experiments. The Big Bang Theory has passed many tests during many experiments, so I believe in it. Is there anything about the theory that makes you unsure?

That really depends on the lab. In our particle physics lab the biggest rule is that you can’t go near the particles when they’re at very high energies. This is doable since the very high energy particles are 100m underground!
