You get to take things that you’ve learnt and apply them to new ideas and concepts and it generally has a good purpose behind it so it helps people too. It’s also very interesting and there’s always new things to be discovered

You get to work with some really intelligent people on really difficult problems. This means you constantly learn new things and that is very rewarding. There is also a strong sense of mentoring in the science community and I think this is something quite unique.

I love that if you have a question about how something works the way it does, the answer may not be on the internet, or even known by any other person in the world. In these cases, you have to test out the question yourself and you could be the first person to know this piece of information!

Discovering new things people may never have known before! Meeting lots of people doing cool things. Travelling to new countries, getting paid for something I really enjoy!
