      For me its definitely handling the radioactive materials, it’s something not a lot of people do and it’s pretty cool

      I liked doing experiments in a nuclear lab for part of my degree, we were using a germanium detector which needs liquid nitrogen to get it cold enough to use. so every morning I got to play with liquid nitrogen and poured it everywhere! (please don’t tell my lecturer)

      I also liked doing programming and computing at university, so I’m happy I get to use computers to do nuclear research at my current job.
